The boat passes by another boat being raided of its supplies by chimpanzees, and then proceeds into the Mekong River. Once aboard the boats, guests are introduced to their skipper and they head into the jungle, allegedly never to return.

The queue was designed to wind about extensively so that guests may see all of the different artifacts in the queue. In Frank's cabin, Lily finds his research on the Tears of the Moon, but Frank insists he stopped searching long ago. Tribal chief Trader Sam translates the symbols on the arrowhead, revealing the Tree's location and that it only blooms under a blood moon. The first year of Jingle Cruise was very simple in that most of the holiday decoration was for the boathouse queue and the boats themselves, with a story of Skippers being homesick during the holidays.

Albert Awol is a fictional Jungle Cruise boat captain and disc jockey for the Disney Broadcasting Company. Considered the "Voice of the Jungle", he broadcasts everything from news, to quizzes, reminders, weather, etc. on the DBC (Disney Broadcast Company). He also serves as a period disc jockey for the station, filling the airwaves with music from the 1930s depression era.

After winding through the queue, guests board one of the boats and meet their skipper who speaks either English, Cantonese, or Mandarin, to accompany the park's guests who speak many different languages themselves. The boats then depart and head down the river, past Tarzan's Treehouse, where the skipper tells guests to wave goodbye to the guests traversing the treehouse, for they will never see them again. The boats then drift past an Indian elephant and her calf playing in the water, followed by another elephant showering in a waterfall.

The kiosk at the end of the ride has new Christmas decorations, like garlands, poinsettias, and a Santa figure. The shipping office is covered in decorations, including a small silver tree. Jingle Cruise, the holiday overlay for Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom, will return on November 3, 2023. Originally debuting in 2013, the Jingle Cruise sees holiday props, music, and script changes added to the traditional Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland.
A native notices the boats and all the shields now revealed to have head hunters behind them begin firing spears and poison darts at the boats as they narrowly escape into a rocky canyon. In the rocky canyon, the boats stop near two unusual rock formations that look like faces, revealed by the skipper to be the fire god and the water god who constantly feud over their differences. The fire god sets the river ablaze while the water god vomits a water bomb, causing the flames to die and the whole canyon to become a cloud of steam. The boats escape the canyon and pass a baby elephant before returning to the boathouse. In January 2021, Disney announced one of the most major refurbishments of the attraction.
While the boats in the Magic Kingdom's attraction travel counter-clockwise, the boats at Tokyo Disneyland travel in a clockwise direction. Other areas ripe for a material refresh include the dock overlooking the nearby Swiss Family Treehouse attraction. Now in its third month, the Jungle Cruise dock refurbishment is past the halfway point as work moves to a new portion of the queue. The project includes removing wood paneling from the dock and replacing it with what appears to be a composite material. While visiting Magic Kingdom, we stopped by Jungle Cruise before the lines got too long to get an updated look at the work and progress.
The décor is aggressive this year at the exit, covering up much of the blackboard asking about skippers’ new year’s resolutions. The tiger has one of the hats the skippers wear on the Jingle Cruise in their mouth. While several boats were out of the rotation when we visited, all of the others already had their holiday names up. Even the shack across from the loading dock is ready for the season, festooned with lights, garlands, and ornaments, along with a small Christmas tree and a decoration of Santa Claus’ face. When we visited, a section of the queue was roped off, though it was decorated for the overlay with ornaments and strings of colorful lights.
Partially revived, Aguirre agrees to bring Joachim the arrowhead in exchange for lifting the curse when he finds the flowers. Joachim diverts the river to flood the cave and Aguirre and his conquistadors are reanimated while fused with rainforest elements. The conquistadors attack the tribe and Aguirre stabs Frank through the heart.

The boats in 1955 were painted as clean, idealized replicas, but have since been given a more realistic theming reflecting the grunge and wear of actual watercraft due to the addition of Indiana Jones Adventure and its ruggedness. Drums and chanting are heard as the boats enter through the Congo and end up in a place called "Head-Hunter Country". Guests soon pass by a group of celebrating jungle natives in a tribal village. After quickly avoiding an ambush of furious, spear-wielding tribesmen, guests can spot another boat being taken over by chimpanzees as they raid the boat of its supplies and accessories.
The Jungle Cruise holiday overlay is back for the 2023 holiday season at Magic Kingdom. The Jungle Navigation Company boathouse queues have been decorated for the holidays, creating makeshift holiday decorations from materials on-hand or using whatever they've been able to recover from the mostly lost shipments. Skipper stockings and letters to Santa are hung with care, a chalkboard message board offers a place to voice New Year's Resolutions, and the week's mess hall menu is nothing but turkey.

Repositioning cruises are usually less expensive than a one-way cruise, but you have less control over ports of call in a repositioning cruise. On Oct. 12, Holland America's newest ship, Rotterdam, sets sail on a transatlantic repositioning from Rotterdam in the Netherlands to Florida's Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Those ports bookend calls on Bruges, Belgium; Le Havre and Brest, France; England's Isle of Portland; Bermuda; and Half Moon Cay, the line's private island in the Bahamas. Single retirees with the freedom to enjoy longer and often more expensive cruises have loads of options for meeting people. The list starts with premium lines like Holland America, Oceania and Cunard, but also Viking and Princess Cruises.
It’s also important to know that repositioning cruises often spend several consecutive days at sea (some itineraries spend up to 10 nights). On April 27, 2025, Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas is repositioning from Bayonne's Cape Liberty port in New Jersey to Rome. There are only five port stops — Ponta Delgada, Portugal; Malaga, Cartagena and Valencia, Spain; and La Spezia, the port for Cinque Terre in Italy — mixed in among the sea days.

Even though it means paying for lodging and likely a few meals before boarding the boat, getting a good night's sleep before a jam-packed vacation is worth it to me.

The panoramic view takes center stage in The Crow's Nest at the top of the ship, where you can relax just about any time of day and enjoy your favorite drink. This option also makes it easier for passengers who are driving to their cruises, and it's often cheaper for those flying. If you want to spend some time pre- or post-cruise in your departure city, Seattle and Vancouver are lovely, vibrant and more affordable than pricey Alaska. Another beautiful coastal city is Victoria, B.C., which is more often included as a port of call on a round-trip cruise than a one-way. Packing for a repositioning cruise is different from packing for a shorter cruise since you’ll experience multiple destinations and climates during your vacation.

This means you and your partner can book an affordable journey to Alaska on ships from the line that is often voted the best in Alaska by those in the know. Holland America has been sailing to the Land of the Midnight Sun for nearly 75 years, and it shows, particularly when it comes to its truly authentic shore excursions. Additionally, Holland cruises into Glacier Bay National Park more than any other line, and its premium, midsize ships have wide-open decks for wildlife, glacier and nature viewing. Lastly, being on a cruise ship post COVID-19 can feel overwhelming but if you’re well prepared, you’re just one step away from an amazing cruise experience. Both of the Saga ocean ships are considered boutique because they have a maximum passenger capacity of 999, which is far smaller than most ocean liners.

These Inside Staterooms are the most affordable way to cruise. There’s room for up to four guests and they include two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and some rooms have additional beds (normally bunk bed style). The 1st Furry Cruise, December 5-10, 2005, set sail out of Miami, Florida via Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines' Majesty of the Seas. 37 furs took part in the tour, planned by LatinVixen, which stopped at Nassau, in The Bahamas; and Key West, Florida. A scheduled visit to Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean's private paradise on Little Stirrup Cay (also in The Bahamas), was canceled due to rough swells at the time of arrival. Fursuiting is to be onboard only due to uncertainty regarding local laws and customs; it is neither in NCL’s or the Furry Cruise Coordinator ability, nor responsibility to confirm or deny whether fursuiting at any port of call is permissible or legal.

This year we return to Miami and to the warmer climate of the western Caribbean on the Norwegian Joy leaving Saturday Oct 26th for a 7 day trip of fun and sun. Enjoy a day at sea to learn our ship and meet your fellow travelers, hit the water slides or the go-karts, or just get some sun on one of the sun decks; the choice is yours. Enjoy the many beaches and many water activities or explore the island as you see fit. Our next stop is Harvest Caye, a private island for our cruise line with shopping, zip lines, jet skis, river tubing, and many other fun things to do. After an evening at sea we arrive at Costa Maya, Mexico with more beach adventures as well as Mayan ruins and jungle explorations. This city is a little more expansive and has more sights to see as well as theme parks and inclusive resorts that you can enjoy for the day as well as some more down to earth tours that can show you around.
We request and very much recommend that you not fursuit without there being at least two of our group present and preferably one person who is not in a suit (handler). Traversing the ship and operating doors, buttons, elevators and other obstacles can prove to be more difficult than normal on a cruise ship due to limited space and close quarters. In addition, we have always attracted a lot of attention and the small walkways can easily become extremely crowded.
